No sound in DOS application because software mixer is set to zero

Cause:

There is no sound available while running a DOS software program because the DOS software mixer volume is set to zero.

Solution:

Open the DOS software and increase the mixer volume for that software.

NOTE: Because DOS applications or games are setup differently, consult the documentation to determine how to increase the mixer control setting for each application.
